The Whispers of the Old Gods Release

As you can tell from the title of this post, there is a new expansion known as The Whisper of the Old Gods coming to Hearthstone! This has been announced a few months ago but the release date is

TOMORROW
26th April for NA and 27th April for EU

I am extremely excited for the new cards that you can find online on the Hearthstone Facebook page. You just have to check out the Photo section to find all 134 cards. After the recent nerf to many cards that are quite popular in various decks, a numerous amount of players are thrilled to have new cards to replace them. The nerfs that recently occurred to cards can be seen here! So make sure to disenchant any of the nerfed cards that you believe are "bad" as you can get the dust back that you used to create them; for a limited time.

However with the Whispers of the Old Gods coming in, we also bid farewell to Naxxramas. After the respective dates for the regions, you will NOT be able to purchase Naxxramas. I advise you to buy the expansion if you want to play through it and get the card pack. However, you cannot play those cards that you get from Naxxramas in the Standard format in Hearthstone. They will be most useful in the Wild System that Hearthstone has implemented.

I look forward to the new decks that will be created in the next month. Oh! Before I forget, in case you missed the live streams where Frodan was playing decks made using cards from the new expansion, there was an announcement! Upon logging on to Hearthstone during the release of the expansion, Blizzard will kindly give you the Legendary C'thun and 3 packs from the new expansions. They will also give you a quest that asks you to play 2 games and win in the new rank game mode to get another 5 packs and then another 5 packs are awarded for the second quest that tells you to win 7 games.

13 Free Packs! Pretty Insane if you ask me.

Enjoy.
